Is the Old Testament a New Testament?
Luther tends to play off the new testament against the old fairly strongly. Sometimes calvin is strong in the continuity of the new and old testamentt so he really wants to emphasize the way in which certain new testament sacraments are continuous with old testament rites. But then you get a third kind of opposition, shuffy said, which comes much more out of the sense of what is the nature of the christian community? Which meens, to some degree, adults have made a commitment to christ? So we are, we are a community of those who have consciously committed themselves to christ.
