Should You Be Protected for Anything?
If you believe in tenure, you should be protected for anything you say in your field. Amy Wack's work addresses issues in social welfare law and policy as well as the relationship of the family, the workplace and labor markets according to Wikipedia. It seems like there are four categories here. There's the personal insults stuff which if proved seems to be objectionable and not protected by tenure. The things they're saying that are non germane to their field they should be sanctioned for or maybe the reverse - it has nothing to do with how they teach chemistry. David: Having a public platform to constantly attack the university is probably just from a business perspective not great.
