Alaska was the 49th state admitted to the United States on January 3, 1959. Just this one state is bigger than the 22 smallest states in the US together. There are just 738,000 people living there and around 15% or 14.8% of the population are native to Alaska. Among the natives, 20 different languages are spoken according to the University of Alaska.
