The Atlanta Department of Transportation and the Mayor's Bill to Repurpose the Atlanta City Detention Center

In 2019, Dickens introduced legislation to create a task force to decide how to repurpose the Atlanta City Detention Center or ACDC. The new jail was built in 1990s leading up to the Olympics and replaced an older jail that now serves as our primary homeless shelter. So that's what ACDC is now. It's called the Gateway Center now.
