Psychiatry is a branch of medicine. Medicine deals with diseases. This notion of health and disease, i think, the notion of dimensions, just was never going to play in the society at large. Thats people now think so much. I mean, it's not just mental health professionals. These are so thoroughly ingrained in the culture. They all have their own constituency that thepsychiatric diagnoses, which say, when you had the anti psychiatry movement in the 19 sixties, you saw them as highly negative, stigmatizing sorts of things. Now many diagnoses are highly valued.
