The Effects of Head Elevated Head Position on Glottic Exposure

The authors of the study did say that there could be unrecognized different responses to tongue compression or other aspects that could have affected their results. I do think that the cadavers can alter the tissue distortion and so on in important ways. And so it may alter what you see, but I don't think that the head positioning itself would then change anything beyond that. Yet again, a straight blade and head elevated head position seems to again expose more of the glottis and show you more of the vocal cords.
