Choosing the Chambers to Apply to as a Barrister
You should only have no more than a handful of chambers that are your absolute, what I'm going to call Grade A chambers. The strategy is to have the chambers that you're absolutely set on wanting to go to and be offered pupilage by. If you're not lucky enough, fortunate enough to get pupilage there, then where else could you apply to? So just broaden your horizons because 20 sets is a lot to be concentrating on. And it's good interview practice, if you get interviews, a number of different sets is really good live practice.
