The Limits of Manipulative Design Patterns

Manipulated basically means that we end up doing things that if we would have understood what's happening, we might have not done. So there's a difference between being tricked into a subscription and I don't know like a mob boss saying he's going to break my knees if I don't give him money, which is very illegal. Where are the boundaries or at least how deep does your work go? Actually, the boundaries are one of the big questions in our work on the manipulative design sphere because you find everything from really harmless, funny, temptations are up to patterns that for example hinder people to unscribe from a service that can have across quite some harm to users. It makes
