Gladstone's experience with the LNG industry sort of indicates that you can't leave it to industry. You do need some sort of government intervention in there or at least setting the boundaries and the rules. The transformation of the entire energy sector as well as manufacturing on top of that as well as a changing agricultural sector is a massive regional challenge. It needs to be someone's job to be keeping an eye on all the different pieces and trying to facilitate and enable good development to happen not just development at any cost.
