The Meaning of the Greek Word Hérakter

The word Hérakter appears in a passage from the letter to the Magnesians and again you can find quotation to Magnesians on your handout I will read it now. In this passage the Greek term Hérakter is translated as a stump explaining this passage one of the scholars' bookers suggests that the phrase the stump of God refers here to the participation in the suffering of Jesus Christ.
