Is Meteor Really a Slash Company?

There's a lot of booming open source based companies like Cloud Era and Databricks. And so I'm curious like does the Meteor project slash company is there anything unique or interesting that Meteor does that is a commentary on how companies work? The way that Meteor makes money is actually to complete this story of a complete JavaScript application platform, you also have to take care of scaling and deploying your application in to real life. Like right now it's very easy to build real time applications using Meteor.
