If a breakthrough by the Ukrainian side will likely just be continued until they can't go any further. That could lead to a very dangerous situation where Russia really feels backed into a corner it doesn't seem very desirable. The unhappy conclusion is that this war of attrition that you'll you've described with both sides betting down spending more continuing to kill people but the line's not moving very dramaticallyProbably for years to come is almost the safest solution for the rest of the world.
