The Challenges of Challengeing the Status Quo
In this case, we're talking about allies challenging the status quo. People in advantaged positions are aware of and use their advantaged position to actively support and include those in less advantaged positions. And so when we think about avoiding a threat, in very primal terms, it's linked to survival. It's really important for us to be focused on that rather than moving toward a reward - but we don't really want to die.
