The main problem is again discipleship. Can you imagine Jesus ending the Sermon on the Mount with that famous climax? He doesn't know here's these words of mine and puts them into practice as like a wise man. The prosperity gospel equates self-effort with earning, which I think is a non-starter. Sadly, this can produce consumers of Jesus merit rather than disciples of Jesus way.
