Open source is a key thing that I see and not taken for granted for an organization such as yourselves to use open source extensively. We started mindfully pivoting into OpenTelemetry, because it's more or less the standard. The migration was definitely challenging, because ensuring feature parity when you move from one project to another. But we did the right thing in trying to patch them on open source rather than try to fork.
