The Difference Between Twitter and Mastodon

Mastodon is a social network like Twitter but it's owned and operated by one company. You can still interact with all of Mastodon in the same way that if you have Gmail you can still send and receive email from people who are using Yahoo or Hotmail, Outlook or whatever their school email address. The technology that allows messages to like updates to be sent across all of these different servers which is called the Fediverse can be used by other kinds of applications as well. I'm bummed about that I can't really use Mastodon for yet and that is watching live sports It's not quite as fast because of the way the technology works but it's also there's just not
