The Evolution of Dark Energy

Dark energy is a constant in space. And so as the universe expands, you get more dark energy. So eventually it takes over and it zooms so far ahead that nobody can catch up to it. The first clues we would have would be for nearby stuff. We're not going to get messages from that for a long time. But how things are expanding right now could tell us very carefully about the recent history of the universe.
