I think the real, the real challenge with nuclear deterrents is a system of thought, is that it's not possible to prove or disprove it. The argument here goes that world war too, world politics, was characterized by endemic conflict at the heart of the international system between the major powers and then after World War Two there has been relative peace. And those arguments are also based on a lot of premises that are contestable. But the challenge of engaging th with the logic of nuclear deterents is that you are being asked to accept a proof of a negative,. except that certain things didn't happen because of the presence of nuclear weapons.
