The Importance of Agency in Complexification
As you complexify your ability, your degrees of freedom increase. You're increasingly able to move uphill against the flow of energy. And so I do see a difference there. It's maybe a subtle one, but it's just the notion that there is at core a kind of deep logic to this process.
