The Importance of Schema Validation in Data Quality
A lot of the times what data teams really want is they want their data to keep flowing. So something that we definitely learned is that you really need to prioritize that and at least provide the tools to make sure that even if schema's changing or something like that out from under you, there's a way to ensure that that goes downstream in a way to bypass standard data quality checks. "There is not a single Schema for a collection of data," says Mark Hoyle.

Batch vs. streaming is a long running debate in the world of data integration and transformation. Proponents of the streaming paradigm argue that stream processing engines can easily handle batched workloads, but the reverse isn't true. The batch world has been the default for years because of the complexities of running a reliable streaming system at scale.
