The Constitution and the Declaration of Fundamental Human Rights

I think it is in principle possible for a free people who has legislative authority to contravene the rights of another part of the population without acknowledging right and so there was this infamous moment where somebody on the house on the Congress floor right just says look the decorations principles and why not all human beings are created equal. That's interesting because it would be I think a pretty clear example of a of a way in which the Constitution is not altogether compatible with the declaration right. But you're lucky to have somebody like Lincoln come into power who recognizes the severity of the contradiction recognize that the more fundamental principles in the declaration and then push it for it.
