The Frustration of Being in a Group

Bion: I feel like I got a lot of clarity late in the book when he basically says, you know, by the way, you actually can't do therapy with more than one person at a time. Like psychoanalysis in a group just isn't possible. But then he's also going on to point out that members of any group also wish to and in fact do make some contributions what he calls anonymously. He ends up calling a group mentality is the sort of like anonymous contributions to the group. And probably the single most important thing to take away here is that every group has what beyond is going to call a basic assumption.
