There are two main groups of people who want to fundamentally change or even get rid of section 230. Unsurprisingly, those groups are for the most part split along party lines. Democrats believe that online services and especially social media platforms are not doing enough to filter and remove these types of content. Republicans feel like social media platforms aren't croaching on their free speech.
