The Meaning of Fighting in the Book

Swive is very conscious of like, like right from the start. She knows at this very young age that all life is suffering in a way. And yet there's also this sense coming from grandma and coming from her mother as well that you're not going to submit to this,. uh, this suffering, you are going to fight. In certain contexts, fighting can not only be a positive thing, but a necessary thing. It requires so many big things, you know, to get through that. I think when you really fully understand that,  there's a meaninglessness to it, there's a futility to it... There's an absurdity to it.
