Mary's Tactics Worked

In 18 63, general robert e lee made a statement that i think was kind of a revelation at the time. His quote was, the chief source of information to the enemy is through our negroes. So apparently mary's tactics worked. She made herself blend into the background, just kind of a spacy young woman who was working in the house. But meanwhile she was listening to everything she heard while she was serving meals in the presidential dining room.
