In the b to c world, a product manager's expectation is higher on functionality. It has to solve the problem in a way that can be easily seen that this is a value ad i think that is thing. Losing one user could completely wreck your entire business if you don't get it right. To a large extent there's usually no sales involvement or seasweed involvement with new products.
