The Importance of Translation in Marias's Life

Boyd: Javier Marias wrote a page at a time. He would just perfect that page and then move on to the next one. And I think in a way when I translate, Javier, it is because the sentences are so long. So there's a kind of surprise at work, even in these sort of labyrinthine sentences. Although this is quite a bulky book, I actually found it quite a fast read.
