The Courts' Power to Deprive Subjecthood

Common law judges were not granted the power to deprive anyone of subjecthood. There was no citizenship stripping or denationalization, there remained British subjects. But saying if it is to be done, it must be done by court isn't the same as saying a court can and should do it. The court can do it. As long as we know. If such a case was to come forward, it is easy to imagine arguments saying, well, there might be the possibility for that.
