The idea that you can talk rationality into a football fan is a mistake, I always call it. For smaller clubs these days the only people that are going to be interested are the spivs. They really are because there's no money to be made. It's what I would call having worked in the city years ago,. It's the emerging markets of investments, right? Lovely. So this is the fascinating thing. The fans, for example, demand that everyone gets a Holland centre forward and pays that player a fortune. And at the same time, they complain about the fact that some carpet bagger who's made money on oil and Russia owns the thing. You can't have both
