Gramsci on the New Intellectual

Gramsci says that the new intellectual can't consist in eloquence. For him, there is no separation between theory and praxis. In fact, for you to show your theoretical chops is to enact them in Marxist practice. Gramsci: intellectuals really do need to be knowledgeable about the social material, political conditions in which we find ourselves.
