Lenon's Strategy for the Constituent Assembly

Lenon's strategy for the constituent assembly was to introduce a poisoned pill as soon as possible. The hall was also full of armed soldiers who were there to provide security, all of them actively sympathetic to the bolsheviks. What's more, the soldiers had gotten into the vodka at a welcome banquet for delegates, and they drank continuously for the next 12 hours. All power, centrally and locally, is vested in the soviets. If the constituent assembly approved this document, it meant they were abdicating their right to craft their own constitution. It simply handed all sovereign legitimacy to lenon and the bolshe communists.
