The Governor's Opposition to Good Cause Eviction Protections

Last year we did a $5.5 billion five year capital plan, which is the other big way that the government spurs housing construction. And unlike any state in America, we put very substantial state resources, almost $1.5 billion of state money into that program to supplement the inadequate funds we got from the federal government. The kind of grand bargain you're talking about this year will really well solve the crisis. But I just I think it's worth noting that it's not for lack of, you know, very substantial activity to date that we're in the crises that we'm in now.
