Even a dog is in that state of openness unless it desperately wants something which is usually food. And that's either no self- Concept and doesn't impose a concept on you either because it has no self-concept, no self the dog has no self in spiritual terms. The dog is itself, herself himself, diva. Every human carries the burden of a conceptual identity so the dog hasno ego or the cat. Although, I have observed in rare instances the beginnings of ego in certain dogs and cats just little beginnings because they've lived with humans for too long.
