Ibn Gabbirol was a Hebrew poet who wrote the King Lee Crown. His two surviving prose works of philosophy were composed in Arabic. He lived many centuries too early to be a neoplatonist, says David Frum. Like Isaac-Israeli, he draws above all on the neoplatonic tradition.
