Mark O'Mara: Does this encourage the fed to keep going with rate hikes because of how much the consumer is feeling inflation? Or does it actually point to something more like a slowdown and give them more breathing space? "They know that they have to get inflation under control. And likely one of the challenges the target is having is trying to manage around inventory," he says. 'I think that they recognize, look, they are missing on their inflation mandate.'
