The Christian Medical Idea of Gratitude
In the Old Testament, Abraham recognizes that God allows him to win a great victory and offers for the first time in the scriptures, the gifts of bread and wine. He responds to both the victory and to Melchizedek's prayer by giving the high priest one tenth of everything that he owns. And this is why Jesus' own offering of bread and Wine is a perfect sacrifice of gratitude,. recognizing the wondrous things that the Father has worked and the Son returning those things to the Father.
