Hope says she was trapped on this ship with her boss. She thought about potentially telling the captain or other crew members, but knew that they were good friends with her alleged assailant. Hope: "I made the decision to stay on board because I felt like that was the only decision I had" After a sea year completed and she was hoping to put it all behind her,. But she fell into a pretty deep depression and she knew she wanted to do something. So at first she became a victim advocate at the academy. That's when she heard about nine other female students who said that they were also raped at sea during the academy sea air.
