Nick Frost and the Two Andes
Edgar Wright and Simon Peg discovered that a large amount of police officers were named either Nick or Andy, which led to the character's name of Nicholas Angel. An angle was actually a joke based on something that happened to Nicholas Angel, the music director. The way they cut back and forth between these two things, you know, the editing of like grabbing a beer, getting knocked out to Simon collapsing on the couch is a masterclass.
