Therapists increasingly do work with clients' values. Stolicism does actually advocate for a particular set of values, it has to be said. There are values that are to be accepted in the basis of reason, not faith. If values are really that important in terms of shaping our emotions then maybe philosophy is in a better position to help us think through and address them.
