The Future of Self-Checkout at Grocery Stores
This is exactly the same type of situation that emerged when ATMs entered our lives. Every bank started putting ATMs up because customers for routine basic transactions could just go to the ATM and they didn't have to stand in line waiting on a teller. But banks ended up expanding and hiring more tellers as a result. And I suspect it's exactly the kind of thing we'll end up seeing as a result of self-checkout at grocery stores.
