Leadership Isn't Sitting at a Computer Screen, They're Numbers
Leadership is not sitting at a screen replying to emails, you have to roam the halls. I like interacting with people. And I encourage the leaders on our team to do the same. It's particularly hard for us because we're a virtual team and so we have to work extra hard at staying in contact with each other. The more you get to know people and understand their lives and their stresses and their strains and their ambitions and their dreams, you start to see them as people. So that they stay people and don't become these abstractions that you talk about.
