The US's Relationship With Africa
The United States has treated Africa less as a strategic partner and more as a problem to be solved. The focus particularly has shifted towards dealing with a continent through a terrorism and security lens. Thank God for China. And I'll be where was the U.S. during all of this as China is making these enormous investments that are clearly creating a tremendous amount of influence for it across Africa? We shouldn't discount the fact that the US is still the continent's largest aid donor.
