Mr. John Knightley is the last and best sketch of his brother, Mr. Emma Knightley. He had a great deal of trouble in persuading him to sit at all. It's so interesting of consciousness that Emma began to consider whether she had not better leave them together at once. But as she wanted to be drawing, the declaration must wait a little longer.
