ESA's mission to Mercury has used a rather exotic system electric propulsion. We convert solar energy into accelerated ions accelerated to enormous velocity the breakdown xenon small amounts of xenon we carry aboard accelerate that. That pushes the spacecraft incredibly small amounts of thrust fractions of of of a newton so they're super efficient it's all about better mileage in the end yes anoon yeah.
