Are You Seeing Unsafe Stretching Practices?

Stretching practices that can be unsafe include over stretching and adding weight to the stretch. Static stretching in general doesn't really prepare you to dance or decrease your chance of injury, according to studies. Chronic hip issues are also common among hypermobile dancers. The number of hip surgeries we're seeing is a direct correlation between stretched hips and more serious injuries.
