Pinball History - The Flipper Pattern
Ginko first went to a single set of flippers at the bottom shortly after and they were copying Humpty Dumpty. It wasn't until 1950 that finally you got the traditional flippers facing inward. The game Knockout, which was done in December of 1950, is when you finally get what you would kind of consider the traditional flipper pattern because just 21 turned them inward.
