Is There One Leading Indicator for How the Economy Is Doing?
Don't look at just one indicator if you want to understand how the economy is doing. Leading indicators tend to be real time data that tells us what's happening right now, or likely to happen in the near future. Lagging indicators tend to follow business cycle movements with some delay.
