Is There a Utopian Sensitivity?
I am tied to moore's sense of utopia as an otherwise. I'm very much invested in it as an alternative. The question of futurity is always part and parcel of utopic thinking. One can think about questions of paradise, the elysian field or heaven. We can think about that as utopian sensibility. So it is definitely a space, a place, a moment with an historical reckoning - past or present. In which people are conceiving of an alternative to the moment in which they exist.
