The Ambiguity of God in the Old Testament

The way Israel keeps itself from fixating over much on just one thing, which could easily become an idol. C.S. Lewis has a similar kind of discussion of these angelic figures in the space trilogy where they look like golden rods of light. And that's only because they try so hard not to move. They have to like stop, try to stop moving and they look like shimmering gold rods. But they do it through these like, you know, a million different kaleidoscopic images.
