Baz Lerman's Crazy Heart
Mick Jagger once asked me to make a film about Sam Phillips, the great Sam Phillips. In Memphis, of course, Sun Records founder Kevin Phillips is an interesting guy. I auditioned for Baz Lerman for Mulan Rouge and found it entertaining. There's so many layers going on in 'Crazy Heart' You do have to watch it twice because there's no way to know where it's going first time you watch it.
